The police report mentioned that the plants had a size between 15 centimeters to 2.20 meters in height approximately.

The second operation to destroy marijuana plants took place in the "La Carolina" area in the Cuatro Esquinas district in Sarapiquí Canton, Limón Province.

In that case, the officials of the local police station of Sarapiquí found 78 plants that were grown in an empty lot in the area. The plants were destroyed.

The planting, production and sale of marijuana are illegal in Costa Rica. Police officials call on the people to report any suspicion of drug sales or growing marijuana plants to the confidential line 1-1-7-6.
