By the A.M. Costa Rica staff The goal to increase
the chance to find a job for unemployed
people in Costa Rica is one step closer to
reaching their goal by opening 635
scholarships to learn English, as part of
the "Mas Capaz Plan" (improving
skills in the English language). A program
sponsored by the National Learning
Institute.
According to the institute, many companies are offering employment in Guanacaste Province, where there are up to 1,552 open vacancies in Customer Service and Technical Support. The high number of vacancies influenced the institute to award the scholarships to people who live in that province. The institute has agreed with language academies in that canton to carry out the English language courses. People interested in learning the popular language should call the institute's line 2210-6000 and request the form to apply for the scholarship. The program is a response to a new law release earlier this year, in January, to improve the institute. -------------- What have you heard of Costa Ricans seeking help to learn English?
