In July, according to the Ministry of Public Transportation, there have been 21 deaths caused by traffic accidents, this being the month with the fewest deaths this year.

However, based on the ministry statistics, the death rate in vehicle crash accidents increased. From January to July, there were 215 deaths, which is 42 more fatalities related to the same period in 2020.

According to the traffic police, 105 deaths were linked to motorcycle accidents. Speeding and reckless driving also caused a high number of accidents, they said.



Last month, the police reported more than 2,700 fines for reckless driving.




There were more than 1,700 drivers tested positive for the Driving Under Influence test, DUI.
