By the A.M. Costa Rica staff A series of highway improvement projects in Heredia Province budgeted at $4,033,565 are advancing, according to the Rural Development Institute. This budget is created with the institute funds plus in collaboration with other public organizations such as the National System of Conversation Areas and the municipalities of the cantons of Barva, downtown Heredia and Santa Bárbara. Among the roads benefitting are between San José de la Montaña and Barva and between Legua and Vara Blanca. The plan includes the purchase of equipment for the Culture House in Santa Bárbara and within the Braulio Carrillo National Park. The goal of this road improvement plan is to attract tourism and provide better conditions for people in the area, the institute said.
