The Boston, Massachusetts-headquartered tech company, OnProcess, announced the company’s expansion with the opening of a new office at Ultrapark Industrial Free Zone located in Heredia Province.
According to the firm, it invested $5 million to power its growth plans in the country, creating 120 new jobs over the last two months and planning to expand its local headcount by 20% until the end of 2023.
"Our strategic expansion in Costa Rica aligns with our long-term growth strategy and plans to increase our presence in key markets," said Oliver Lemanski, CEO of OnProcess. "Innovation is in our DNA, and we believe that by leveraging the expertise of the local workforce, we can deliver exceptional service and increased shareholder value."
Costa Rica is the ideal location to provide company key services to the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions, Lemanski said.
The
firm opened operations in Costa Rica
in 2015 and currently has 300
employees. They are actively hiring
for positions in business support
functions, digital services, and
global product management as well as
highly qualified experts in supply
chain administration and logistics
processes that provide support to
clients in the technology,
communications, and transportation
industries worldwide. Those
interested in an open position
should visit the firm careers
website. Even
though new businesses are creating
jobs, unemployment remains at 9.6%,
according to the National Employment
Survey. Data
recorded from May to June 2023 shows
more than 225,000 people without
registered jobs. Of these, 116,000
are men, making up 51% of the
unemployed people in the country. OnProcess
is one of many U.S. firms investing
in Costa Rica. This
week, the Minnesota-headquartered
company, Intricon, a medical
devices producer, announced the
opening of its operations in Costa
Rica. --------
