Experian,
the data analytics and consumer credit
reporting company headquartered in
Dublin, Ireland, has expanded
operations in Costa Rica by announcing
at least 250 new vacant employment
positions. These new
hires will join the company’s more
than 1,600 current employees at its
Global Operations Center located
in Heredia Province. Their
service markets include the United
States and the United Kingdom. According
to the firm, they chose Costa Rica for
its national stability, as well as the
quality and availability of Costa
Rican talent. "For Experian, Costa
Rica remains a priority destination
for developing and supporting its
global strategy, allowing for
incorporating new business units and
increasing personnel for the teams
that are already established in the
country," they said in its statement. “Costa
Rica continues to prove itself a key
player in Experian's success. In Costa
Rican professionals, we have found the
skills and ambition necessary to keep
our [Global Operations Center]
constantly growing since 2008," said
Minor Monge, General Manager of
Experian Costa Rica. "During the
company's years of experience in the
country, Experian has identified a
robust cradle of talent with
outstanding technical skills and a
level of command of the English
language capable of supporting fully
bilingual operations.” The
company has 15 years of operations in
Costa Rica. Globally, Experian advises
companies on credit risk management,
identity fraud and financial crime
prevention, marketing solutions,
decision automation, and business
process outsourcing (BPO).
The firm is
currently in the process of hiring
approximately 250 new bilingual
professionals with intermediate or
advanced English levels, in areas such
as customer service, sales, product
development, finance, accounting, data
analysis, information technology, and
system engineering. Company
employees receive benefits such as
performance bonuses, health and life
insurance, an employee assistance plan,
an educational reimbursement program, an
employee association, extra vacation
days, personal enjoyment days, volunteer
programs, and professional development
programs, among others.
People
interested in applying for a job
vacancy should visit the firm
careers website. Experian is
one of many international firms
investing in Costa Rica. Recently,
the California-headquartered Pacific
Barcode, a company and supplier of
labels for the medical device
subsector, announced the expansion of
its operations in its facilities
located in Alajuela Province. Even though
new businesses are creating jobs, the
unemployment rate remains at 9.7%,
according to the National Employment
Survey. Data recorded from February to
April 2023, shows that there are more
than 224,000 people without registered
jobs. Of these, 121,000 are women,
making up 54% of unemployed people in
the country.
