Students will have available a hybrid system between in-person and virtual classes. Parents have final say if students partake in the hybrid system or remain strictly virtual with their courses. One aspect parents are considering in their decision are the driving restrictions, which impact their mobility during the week. And driving students to school is not included on the list of exemptions for not abiding the ban-on-driving rule. Parents should contact the school principal and send a letter of their decision to continue with virtual classes. Otherwise, the school or high-school staff will register the student's for mixed classes. According to Giselle Cruz, Minister of Education, the option to continue virtually was established at the beginning of the school year in February and "the possibility of not sending students to in-person lessons is still an option."getting infected with covid-19, students must keep a social distance of 6 feet, practice constant hand-washing and mandatory use of a face mask. To avoid getting infected with covid-19 at school students must keep a social distance of 6 feet, constant hand-washing and mandatory use of a face mask. If someone is detected or suspected of being infected with covid-19, the school must close until a deep cleaning of all the facilities is completed, according to the authorities. Resuming in-person classes was authorized after having achieved the vaccination of 96.69% of the ministry's employees, meaning approximately 85,896 employees have received at least one of the two doses of the vaccine against covid-19.
