 -Friday, December 20, 2019- this weekend By the A.M. Costa Rica staff This is the last weekend, to enjoy Christmas concerts in many communities in the country. The quartet, Los Tenores, are presenting the Spectacular Christmas concert at the National Theater. Los Tenores is a quartet of successful singers made up of Joaquín Yglesias, Arnoldo Castillo, Rodolfo Gonzalez and Ricardo Bernal, who have joined in vocals since 2016. The one-hour show includes the most famous Christmas carols as “Holy Night,” “Carol of the Bells” and “Jingle Bells,” among many others. The concerts are: today at 8 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the theater box office or the website www.teatronacional.go.cr. More information on facilities for people with wheelchairs can be obtained at 2010-1110. Another option for Christmas concerts are municipal bands. All these free, are as follow: The Municipal Band of Alajuela will give a concert today at 7 p. m. in the Juan Santamaría Museum in Alajuela. The band from the Municipality of Cartago will give a concert today at 7 p.m. in the theater of the Municipality of Cartago. The band of the Municipality of Heredia will give a concert today at 6 p.m. in Centro Cultural Omar Dengo in Heredia. The band from the Municipality of Puntarenas will also give a concert today at 6:30 p.m., at the Parque Pérez in Esparza in Puntarenas Province. The band from the Municipality of San José will give a concert today at 6:30 p.m. in the church Our Lady of Solitude in San Jose's downtown. The Choir Coral Oleo, will give a concert today at 6 p.m. at the Figueres Ferrer Cultural Center in San Ramón in Alajuela Province. The Municipal Band of Guanacaste also will give a concert Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Elderly Home in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. -------------------------- Have you heard of a Christmas concert organized by the municipality of your community?
