According to the police report, one of the seven suspects is Colombian and the rest are Costa Rican. The names were not released by the agents.

The agents received a confidential tip about the observations of men arriving in several vehicles in an area near PiƱuelas Beach in Puntarenas Province.

In response to the alert, the agents with the help of the local police arrived at the place where they observed the men doing an alleged change of packages.

In addition to the arrest of the men, the agents seized the two 4x4 vehicles, which were left in custody at the Judicial Investigation Organization of the canton of Osa.

Authorities also found and seized three assault rifles, five 9-millimeter caliber pistols, and more than $3,000 in cash.

The seven men were taken to the cells of the Public Ministry where they were interrogated by the judicial agents and must wait until a judge orders the pre-trial measures against them under the drug trafficking charge.
