Officers of the Drug Control Police arrested a foreign woman, of Argentine nationality, surnamed Molineros, 35, resident in Costa Rica as a suspect of drug sales.

According to the police report, a Costa Rica man surnamed Naranjo, 34, with no criminal record, was also detained with the woman. He was arrested on suspicion of participating with the woman in the drug sale activity.

After an investigation into the activities of these people, the officers determined that they are suspected of selling drugs to tourists who visit Chiquita Beach and Talamanca Canton in Limón Province.

Officer presumed that the sale of the drug, mainly marijuana, was made with food products made with marijuana, oils made with marijuana and synthetic drugs.

The arrests happened during two raids on the suspects' homes where various drug units and cash were seized as part of the evidence in the case.



Among the seized drug products reported by the police were:

» 848 doses of drugs, of which 769 doses were marijuana, 57 doses of LSD and 22 doses of ecstasy drug.

» 13 jars of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

» seven ampoules of THC.

» two jars with marijuana wax.

» two jars with marijuana paste.

» 16 units of pastry made with marijuana.

» One bag of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

» One bag with marijuana seeds.

In addition $360 in local currency plus $1,266 in cash were seized.

The suspects were taken to the cells of the Public Ministry in Limón where a judge ordered pre-trial measures against them accused of drug trafficking.

The judicial agents call on the population to report any suspicion of drug sales to the confidential line 800-8000-645, where there are bilingual agents who can answer calls in English or Spanish.
