Judicial agents
investigate to find the
people who threw explosive
device in Legislative
Assembly building

Agents of the Judicial
Investigation Organization are
collecting evidence and videos
to find three men, who could be
the ones who threw an explosive
device in the Legislative
Assembly building in San Jose*,
on Wednesday.
Statements given by Walter
Espinoza, General Director of
Judicial Investigation
Organization, confirm that the
case was initially reported by
the security department of the
Legislative Assembly.
The complaint states that at
approximately 1:30 a.m. on
Wednesday, three men arrived at
the side of the Legislative
Assembly building located on a
boulevard in San José.
The full action was recorded by
several security cameras around
the building.
According to the judicial
agents, the men placed an
explosive device on the frame of
one of the windows leading to
the reception area of the office
of Deputy Zoila Volio, of the
National Integration Party.
After the explosion, the men
fled the scene. The explosion
did not cause any damage to the
building.
"This type of violence is not
acceptable, absolutely nothing
justifies threats and
aggression," said deputy Volio.
"With joy, I informing you that
we have nothing to regret, the
damages were minor."
Regarding the investigation,
Deputy Volio said that she
"trusts in the work of agents
and hope we get to the bottom of
this unfortunate event."
Early Wednesday morning, agents
arrived at the site to collect
clues and camera records. A
search for the perpetrators is
underway.
