By the A.M. Costa Rica staff The Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz inaugurated an electric vehicle charging point, EV, on Route 32, which is the main highway between the provinces of San José and Limón. The company is a public company in charge of providing electricity service in the Central Valley. According to the company, this is the seventh EV placed by them. The EV is located at the telephone agency of the Institute of Electricity, Kölbi, in Tibas Canton. The goal is to provide a charging point for drivers traveling between the two provinces. The EV fast charge can load 80% of an electric vehicle in 30 minutes. Currently, the company's fast-charging centers have been used 3,000 times, by more than 350 users, with an average usage time of 22 minutes. The country has 140 EV of standard charging speed plus 40 EV with fast charging speed. Recently, Congress pre-approved a bill to create incentives for electric vehicles. -------------------- What should the government do to improve the use of green vehicles in the country?
