Japanese-based technology company Fujitsu will expand its operations in the country with 60 new jobs, between March and June.
The company, which launched its Costa Rican operations in 2006, is hosting a virtual job fair through its social networks as @FujitsuCostaRica on Facebook or @fujitsucostarica on Instagram.
These newest available positions as Service Desk Agents requirements are intermediate-advanced English (B2 or higher) or intermediate-advanced Portuguese (B2 or higher). The company will also consider whether candidates have prior experience in technical support and customer service.
Fujitsu's recruitment process will be 100% virtually and the jobs offered will be for telecommuting positions that cover a range of schedules. People interested to apply for a job should visit the company’s social networks or review its careers page.
“We are very pleased to be undergoing this stage of growth, which also offers stable employment at a company as established as Fujitsu," José Morales, Manager of Human Resources at Fujitsu said. "Our clients trust in our ability to locate the best talent in the country; that is why we have adapted all our recruitment procedures according to the new reality, in which virtual connectivity is predominant."
Fujitsu is a global digital transformation company offering a broad and comprehensive range of IT products, solutions, and services. It employs more than 140,000 people worldwide.
As of September 2020, exports of knowledge-intensive services totaled more than $3.7 billion, according to the Investment Promotion Agency, CINDE.
Unemployment is one of the most critical issues in the country. According to the Employment Survey, the unemployment rate was 20% in 2020, meaning the unemployed population reached 487,675 people.
