Guanacaste Art Festival is this weekend

The Guanacaste Arte Festival takes place today and Saturday in Santa Cruz this year.
At the festival, there will be many cultural activities, typical of the unique culture of the Guanacaste people, such as dance, folklore, theater, music, storytelling, visual arts, crafts, among others, said the Ministry of Culture.
The two days of the festival in Santa Cruz will be at the Civic Center for Peace of Santa Cruz, as the main venue, as well as on the baseball field of the Sports Center of Santa Cruz.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the Guanacaste Arte Festival has been held in many locations in Guanacaste. In 2008, it was carried out in Liberia. Subsequently, it was held in Hojancha, Abangares, La Cruz, Bagaces, Tilarán, Nandayure, Carrillo, Nicoya, and last year in Cañas, 2018.
Guanacaste Art festival this year has been organized by the Municipality of Santa Cruz, as well as the culture ministry.

The province of Guanacaste is located in the northwestern region of the country, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The province covers an area of 10,141 km2. According to the Statistics Institute, as of 2010, it had a population of 354,154.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, Guanacaste's main attractions of tourists include water, land, mountains, volcanoes, and coastal ecosystems.
The two main commercial areas Santa Cruz and Liberia with six surrounding tourism development centers: Papagayo Peninsula, El Coco, Las Catalinas, Flamingo, Conchal, and Tamarindo.
Liberia is where the Daniel Oduber International Airport is located.
