The National Institute of Women has about $1,581,000 in non-reimbursable funds for women entrepreneurs who don't qualify to access loans within the standard parameters of the banks. Before the pandemic the economic situation of women was critical, one in three women had no income. To rub salt into the wound "the health crisis has had a greater impact on women and their families, increasing the number of women who today do not have an income for a decent life," Marcela Guerrero-Campos, President of the Institute said. The institute will deliver the non-reimbursable funds through the program to help women entrepreneurs in rural zones to invest in their production. People can opt for the funds applying in one of the three categories: business beginners, businesses developed for two years or more, and projects that are related to women's rights initiatives. Women interested in applying for the funds must present the information about their business to the institute and complete the requirements established. The entire participation process is free. More information on non-reimbursable funds can be obtained at the Institute's line (506) 2527-8401. This is the second program to help entrepreneurs released recently. Last week the Costa Rican-USA Foundation for Cooperation through the GreenTech program, opened a contest for entrepreneurs to receive non-reimbursable funds. -------------------- What have you heard of women entrepreneurs looking for capital to invest in their businesses?
