The big winner of the so-called Gordo Christmas national lottery was the number 66 and the serial 305. The big prize is $2,650,707 per "entero", or approximately $66,267 per "pedacito".
Each "entero" has 40 fractions, known as a "pedacito," a little piece in English. Each entero is numbered 0 to 99. The way to win the Gordo is to have the correct two-digit number from 0 to 99 and the correct three-digit series, from 1 to 999.
According to the board, the Jackpot winner ticket was sold in - Santa Bárbara and Heredia downtown in Heredia Province - Tarrazú, Alajuelita and San José downtown in San José Province. - Cartago downtown in Cartago Province. - Nicoya and Tilarán in Guanacaste Province. - Montes de Oro in Puntarenas Province - La Fortuna de San Carlos, Orotina and Alajuela downtown in Alajuela Province.

And the third prize of $132,535 per "entero", number 86 serial 242.
More prizes announced, ranging from $100 to $1,000 per each "pedacito". To claim an extra prize the ticket must match the same number and serial.
All prizes will be paid immediately and without taxes at the lottery board offices in San José downtown, at any Banco de Costa Rica branch in the country or even the prize could be transferred into the winner's bank account if the lottery was purchased online. U.S. citizens, of course, would still have to pay taxes on their winnings to Uncle Sam.
The list of winner extra prize tickets can be reached at the board Facebook page.
On Sunday, December 20, the first rematch draw will be played, designed for gamblers looking for a second chance to become millionaires. The rematch jackpot is approximately $660,000. The "entero" price $35 and each "pedacito" about $3.30.
The last chance to win the Christmas lottery will be on Sunday, 27, with the so-called second rematch, which will give the winner about $330,000 per each "entero". Same cost per "entero" and "pedacito".
Both lotteries will be televised by 13 local channel and will be in live streaming on the Board's YouTube channel.
