The early-1970s KISS traces its roots to Wicked Lester, a New York-based rock and roll band led by co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
In 1979 Kiss's first single "I Was Made for Lovin 'You" was awarded gold certification for one million singles sold. Thirty years later, in 2012, KISS release MONSTER, the band's 20th studio album.
Another international band that will perform in Costa Rica Feb. 28, will be the Backstreet Boys. The event is scheduled for Parque Viva in Alajuela.
As many readers may know, Backstreet Boys is an American vocal pop music group formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1993. The group members' singers are AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell.
The Backstreet Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling boy band of all time, and one of the world's best-selling music artists.
