beginsfilming in Costa Rica By the A.M. Costa Rica staff The recordings of the second season of the Discovery Channel reality show “Reversed” began in the canton of Atenas, Alajuela Province. Under the direction and production of Charles Mattocks, the series will run for a week in various towns in the canton, in addition to San José Province and other areas of the Pacific Coast. This second season, in addition to being recorded in the country, will feature the participation of two Costa Rican specialists, Donald Vega and the dentist Delfín Barquero. Both will join the U.S. medical team that will participate in the care of patients in the show. “Costa Rica is a beautiful country and offers us all the conditions to develop the filming successfully," Mattocks said. "We are definitely more than satisfied with the decision and we hope that the show is to the liking of many people. ” Following the overwhelming success of the first season, Mattocks and the producers are working on creating another season that will take a new set of guests, both type1 and type 2 diabetics. The new season will introduce a ketogenic diet along with intermittent fasting. The guests will be put in situations where they will be pushed to make the changes to live a better overall quality of life. Participants learn how to make healthy choices and incorporate lifestyle practices such as exercise, yoga, and meditation, as well as individual and group therapy. According to the American Diabetes Association, approximately 30 million people in the United States are living with diabetes. Over five million deaths worldwide were recorded as a result of diabetes and its complications.
