Seven Costa Rican companies are presenting their products at the KidScreen Summit 2021 to seek commercial partners, promote entertainment content and digital animation.
This year, due to the pandemic, the summit will be held virtually from Canada.
The summit, which is taking place during February and will end on March 5, is organized by the Toronto-based magazine for kids entertainment, KidScreen.
The virtual conference is expected to feature more than 1,500 companies from 50 countries, as well as more than 300 investor buyers of content directed to children.
The Costa Rican companies attending the virtual summit are LasalaPost, Tropics Creative, Relish Costa Rica, Marte Estudio, Animagine, Mekanismo and 5Paperfish.

According to the Export Promotion Agency, Costa Rican companies produce digital animation for children that are broadcasted in countries such as Russia, Japan and Canada, among others.
During the summit expect meetings between national companies and studios, distributors, broadcasters and international consultants.
In the past, Costa Rican companies acquired the Marte Estudio company that participated in the development of Lego City and the recent acquisition of Rocket Cartoons by the Canadian firm Relish.
