Adams "Shines a Light" concert in Costa Rica
By the A.M. Costa Rica staff and wire services Iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams will give a concert on Tuesday, October 8, at Parque Viva* in Alajuela. Tickets cost between $45 to $150 depending on the seats chosen. They can be purchased at the theater office or online at Eticket.cr* The 59-year-old Adams is coming to Costa Rica with his new, Shine a Light album, which he released in March this year. Already having covered Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the tour continues through the U. S. and Latin America. According to his official site, in 1978, when he was 18, he signed with A&M records for $1. Cuts Like a Knife song released in January 1983 is considered Adams’s breakout album, due to the lead singles. Adams’s follow-up 1984 album, Reckless, confirmed Adams’ popularity with singles like Run to You, Summer of 69, Heaven, One Night Love Affair, Somebody and the Tina Turner duet, It’s Only Love. In 1992, his ballad Everything I Do, I Do It for You, won an American Music Award for best pop/rock single and a Grammy Award for best song written for a motion picture, television or other visual media. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists like Roger Daltrey, Don Henley, Rod Stewart, Sting among others.
