2019 Earthdance Global Peace Party this weekend

Costa Rica will be one of the host countries for the 2019 Earthdance Global Peace Party, ED, for the first time in the 23 year history of the event.

This year's theme is "Collective Intelligence." Earthdance is a world of communities, working and playing together to create a culture of peace, through music and dance events, synchronized global link-ups, and social activism.

Earthdance is aligned with the UN International Day of Peace that takes place on September 21st each year.

The peace party celebration will take place in Uvita in the Southern Pacific zone, on Saturday, Sept 21st from 10 a.m. to midnight at the Beehive Restaurant*, located at 300 meters north of Uvita gas station in the province of Puntarenas.

"We will start the Global Peace Party at 10 with a yoga class led by Ellanah. Then at 11 am the party starts with a great lineup of 4 bands and 2 DJs. We will have music all day long till 11 pm featuring a belly-dancer and fire-dancing. At 6 pm we will read the peace prayer that connects the whole world at the same time to manifest peace on Earth," said the host band Out of the Blue.

This is event is open to the public. Activities include kids booths, a pool party, beer tents, and lots of vendors and booths to visit as well as drink and food specials.

Live music performers include Out of the Blue Band, from San Diego, U.S.

And local previews of Conscious Classic, Colors As Sound with DJ Bill Husted, Blues On Fire, Rubb a Dube DJ, Luba Nikolayev, and Keyna AC, among others.

Tickets are $17, Kids 12 and under are free. Teens under 19th will get a special entry price of $9.

"50 percent of ticket sales will go to the Fundación Corcovado a non-profit organization working with local people to protect the Costa Rica rainforest," said the host in its statement. "They also work with children creating awareness about protecting their natural heritage and with volunteers protecting sea turtles on nesting beaches."
