On Friday
The
Cartago Township Orchestra concert at
the Municipality
Anphetater
in Cartago. With free admission, the
program starts at 6:30
p.m. Reservations via
the municipality website.
The Quinteto Encuentro, a musical band is bringing the vibe with a chill chamber music concert at the Cartago Cultural Center in Cartago. The show starts at 6 p.m., and it’s free.
On Friday and Sunday
The National Symphony Orchestra is throwing some serious classical vibes this weekend at the National Theater in San Jose. On Friday the show kicks off at 8 p.m. On Sunday, they’re back at it starting at 10:30 a.m. Grab your tickets at the box office or lock 'em in online.
The National Theater in San Jose presents the Young Promises Concerts, featuring rising stars from the National University, the National Theater, and the Instituto Superior de Artes. There are three shows throughout the day: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. ️ Free admission.

Sunday
The National Museum in San Jose hosts a Cultural Festival packed with a meteorite exhibit, a puppet show, a live symphony concert, traditional food and local crafts. The event begins at 9 a.m. Free entry.

MegaCon
2025 is going down at the Convention Center
in Heredia. It’s the ultimate fan
event, stacked with star power, meet
Billy Boyd (Pippin from Lord of the
Rings), David Wenham (Faramir from
Lord of the Rings), Tom Welling (Clark
Kent from Smallville), and Dan Fogler
(Jacob from Fantastic Beasts). But

The Magaly Theater
in San Jose screening of “Memories of
a Burning Body” ("Memorias de un
Cuerpo que Arde"). A powerful Costa
Rican film written and directed by
Antonella Sudasassi Furniss who took
home the Platino Award for Cinema and
Education in Values at the 2024
Platino Awards. Tickets at the box

Catch the romantic comedy "As Simple as That" (Así de Simple) at the Expressivo Theater in San José. It’s real, it’s funny, and it hits love, drama, and all the messy stuff in between when love alone just ain’t cutting it. The Torres Theater in San José is featuring the comedy play "Orgasms." The show takes a funny and honest look at the complexities of modern relationships. Theater in San José for a
hilarious comedy, "The Mummy," starring
comedian characters Juan Vainas and
Chibolo. Inspired by a spooky Halloween
tale, the play dives into the fun
