On Friday





Get ready to rock with Mustang65 rock band at the London Room Central Pub in Sabana Canton, San José. They’ll be bringing the best Spanish rock hits to the stage. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are just $20, available at the venue box office.





On Saturday




"Revés Contemporary Dance Show" featuring Chey Jurado and Berta Contijoch from Spain, along with Horacio Macuacua from Mozambique. This electrifying performance takes the stage at The Eugene O'Neill Theater in San José at 8 p.m. Tickets at $15 are available at the theater box office or online.








On Saturday and Sunday


BBQ & Grilling Fest will take place at Campo Ayala Events Center in Cartago. Get ready for one of the biggest BBQ events in Costa Rica. The program is packed with everything a BBQ lover could want, live grilling demos, epic BBQ competitions, top BBQ brands, live music, and food trucks serving smoky flavorful eats. The pet-friendly festival starts at 10 a.m.  Tickets are just $4 at the venue box office. If you love BBQ, this is the place to be!




Coldplay fans, get ready for a magical night! The Philharmonic Orchestra is bringing "Coldplay Symphonic" to the Melico Salazar Theater in San José, delivering a breathtaking symphonic take on the band’s biggest hits "Fix You," "Clocks," "Yellow," "Something Just Like This," and more! The live orchestra performance starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the program starts at 4 p.m. Tickets from $50 to $80 are available at the theater box office or on the OneTicketCR website.

The Rey Curré indigenous community in Buenos Aires Canton, Puntarenas Province, will host its traditional "Juego de Los Diablitos" (The Little Devils Game).  Recognized as part of Costa Rica’s cultural heritage since 2017, the event is organized by the Rey Curré Indigenous Development Association. The ritual, an ancestral tradition, symbolizes the Borucan people's resistance against Spanish colonizers during the 16th century. Don’t miss out on Taco Fest at Rio Campo Event Park in San Rafael Canton, Alajuela Province. It’s a celebration of authentic Mexican eats, with over 20 food trucks serving up all your taco cravings. Enjoy live music, dance performances, and mariachi vibes while you munch. The fun kicks off Friday at 2 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, doors open at noon. Be sure to check out Expogreen at the beautiful gardens of the Contraloría General in Sabana Canton, San José. Hosted by the Costa Rican Orchid Association, this is the biggest flower exhibition in the country. Explore a stunning variety of orchids and tropical flowers for sale, plus enjoy live music, folkloric dances, and delicious traditional Costa Rican food.  It’s totally free and pet-friendly! The event kicks off at 9 a.m.








Catch the romantic comedy "Así de Simple" ("
Just Like That") at the Expressivo Theater in Curridabat, San José. It’s all about the challenges couples face when love alone isn’t enough. The show starts at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a Sunday performance at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at the theater box office.




The comedy play "Adulterando" (Adultery) will be performed at the 1887 Theater in the Ministry of Culture in San José. Featuring the Colectivo Mabulé theater company, the show is for audiences 18 and older.  Showtimes: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased at the theater box office.





The Moliere Theater in San José shows the comedy play "Papichulo" (Handsome Daddy). The story follows a thief who ends up in all kinds of crazy trouble while trying to rob a house full of women. Showtimes:  Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the theater box office.








The Torres Theater in San José is featuring the comedy play "Orgasms." The show takes a funny and honest look at the complexities of modern relationships. Showtimes: on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 6 p.m. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased at the theater box office. Please note, the show is for audiences 15 years old and older.




Step right up to the "Fuentes-Gasca Circus" at the Cable Tica facilities in Sabana, San José, for a dazzling show filled with excitement and wonder! The National Museum in downtown San José, presents an exhibition of Costa Rica's history and handmade artifacts, including some more than 12,000 years old, made by the first peoples of the region. Museum hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ticket is $11.






The Gold Museum in downtown San José presents an exhibition of Costa Rican bills and coins since 1850. Also, in the exhibit are the 700 pieces of handcrafted gold made by the first population in Costa Rica. The museum opens at 9 a.m. Ticket is $15.
