The U.S. University of Wyoming Jazz School performs a free concert at 7 p.m. at the Cartago Cultural Center. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Cartago.
On
Friday and Saturday
The Ministry of Culture's Cinema Center, in San José, is hosting the Bowie Movie Fest, a tribute to David Bowie, the iconic English singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. On Friday at 7 p.m., they’ll be showing "Absolute Beginners," a rock musical based on Colin MacInnes's novel about life in late 1950s London. Then, on Saturday at 7 p.m., you can catch "Labyrinth," the dark musical fantasy film. Both screenings are free, but they’re only open to those 18 and older.

The Solidaton, a charity
event organized by the Tiempos de
Esperanza Foundation, will be held
at the Amphitheater of
the Ministry of Culture in San
José. The event starts at 1 p.m.
and features music performances,
dances, and concerts, all aimed at
raising funds to buy 50,000 school
supplies for low-income families. There’s no set
ticket price but attendees are
encouraged to donate what they
can.
This weekend
The comedy play "Adulterando" (Adultery) will be performed at the 1887 Theater in the Ministry of Culture in San José. Featuring the Colectivo Mabulé theater company, the show is for audiences 18 and older. Showtimes: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased at the theater box office.
The Moliere Theater in San José
shows the comedy play "Papichulo" (Handsome
Daddy). The story
follows a thief who ends up in all
kinds of crazy trouble while
trying to rob a house full of
women. Showtimes: Friday
and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday
at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can
be purchased at the theater box
office.
The Torres Theater in San José
is featuring the comedy
play "Orgasms." The show
takes a funny and honest look at
the complexities of modern
relationships. Showtimes: on
Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and
on Sunday at 6 p.m. Tickets are
$18 and can be purchased at the
theater box office. Please note, the show is
for audiences 15 years old and
older.
Step right up to the "Fuentes-Gasca Circus" at the Cable Tica facilities in Sabana, San José, for a dazzling show filled with excitement and wonder!
