The San Francisco-headquartered company, Mismo, announced its expansion in Costa Rica with the hiring of more than 40 software engineers this year.

However, despite the extraordinary numbers released by the authorities, the National Employment Survey shows an unemployment rate of 17.3%, meaning there are more than 422,000 people without registered jobs in the country from February to April 2021.
