It didn’t take long to produce the first Mega Millions® jackpot win of 2025!

Tickets for Mega Millions can be purchased on the lottery’s official website by U.S. residents.

International players can participate in Mega Millions and other global lotteries through The Lotter website, which allows individuals from any nationality to play.

The U.S. lottery jackpot was won
in Arizona with a single ticket that matched all six winning numbers drawn on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025.

The white balls 8, 10, 37, 54 and 69, plus the gold Mega Ball 22 allow the winner to take the prize of $112 million or the $49.95 million cash option, announced Mega Millions Lottery company.

The winning ticket was sold at Winners Corner, 524 W. Broadway Rd. in Tempe, Ariz., U.S.A, they added.

In the January 17 drawing, there were 452,300 winning tickets across all prize tiers, in addition to the jackpot-winning ticket. These include six second-tier prizes of $1 million, won in Florida (2), Michigan (2), Minnesota and New Jersey.

Also, 13 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the game’s third-tier prize. One is worth $30,000 because it included the optional Megaplier (available in most states with an extra $1 purchase), which was 3X Friday night. The other dozen third-tier winning tickets take home the standard $10,000 each.

The jackpot was reset to its current starting value of $20 million on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

The current drawing for this weekend is set for tonight, Friday, Jan. 24, 2025. The jackpot is estimated at $28 million, with a cash option of $12 million.

Drawing will be conducted as usual at the WSB-TV studio in Atlanta, Georgia, at 11 p.m. ET. Soon afterward, the draw video will be available on
the Mega Millions website.

Mega Millions tickets cost about $2 per play. Players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (the gold Mega Ball) - or select Easy Pick/Quick Pick.
