The single ticket takes the prize of $552 million or the option to claim $260.2 million in cash.

The jackpot for the tonight drawing on Friday, June 7, resets to its current starting value of $20 million, or $9.4 million in cash.

Mega Millions tickets are available for purchase on the lottery website for those living in the U.S.

Those living abroad, from any nationality, can play Mega Millions or any of the other international lotteries on The Lotter website.

Tonight's drawing will be conducted as usual at the WSB-TV studio in Atlanta, Georgia, at 11 p.m. ET. Soon afterward, the draw video will be available on the Mega Millions website.

The jackpot had been rolling since it was last won at $1.128 billion in New Jersey, U.S. on March 26, 2024.

In addition to the jackpot-winning ticket, there were 944,852 other winning tickets in the June 4 drawing. Two tickets matched the five white balls to win the game’s second-tier prize; they were sold in California and Maryland.

Additionally, 27 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the game’s third-tier prize of $1 million each.  Four are worth $30,000 each because they included the optional Megaplier (available in most states with an extra $1 purchase), which was 3X Tuesday night. The other 23 third-tier winning tickets take home the standard $10,000 each. Also, there were more winning tickets at all prize levels, ranging from $2 up to $4 million.

Mega Millions tickets cost about $2 per play. Players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (the gold Mega Ball) - or select Easy Pick/Quick Pick.

Players win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing. Also, there are a total of nine ways to win a prize in this lottery, ranging from the jackpot down to $2.

Mega Millions jackpot winner will have the choice of a Cash Option or an Annual Payout. Annuity option: Provides for an initial annual payment followed by 29 annual payments.

The second major game of this weekend is Powerball®, which has an estimated jackpot of $206 million. The lottery also has an estimated cash value of $96.9 million for the next drawing on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

The Powerball tickets are available for purchase for those living in the U.S. on its website.

Those living abroad, from any nationality, can play Powerball or any of the other international lotteries on The Lotter website.

The jackpot rolled on Wednesday, June 5,  after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn with the white balls 8, 44, 45, 51 and 69.  Plus the red Powerball 12 and the multiplier 3X.

Powerball drawings are broadcast live at 11 p.m. ET from the State of Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. Drawings are also available on Powerball.com.

The jackpot grows until it is won. Players win a prize by matching one of the 9 ways to win. The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball.

Powerball costs about $2 per play. To play, people should select five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls, then select one number between 1 and 26 for the red Powerball. People can choose the numbers on a play slip or let the lottery terminal randomly pick the numbers.

Jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump-sum payment. Both advertised prize options are before federal and jurisdictional taxes.
