The
Daniel
Oduber-Quiros International Airport
(LIR),
also known as Guanacaste Airport, will
remains closed from
Friday Nov. 15 to
Saturday Nov. 16
for runway maintenance.
Coriport,
the company in charge of airport
maintenance and repairs, announced on
Friday that the country's northernmost
busy air terminal will remain closed
from Friday at 6 a.m. to Saturday
at 8 p.m.
As of
Friday, the operational
interruption affected about 36
flights. Most flights were canceled,
such as Alaska airlines, Air Canada,
American Airlines and United
Airlines among others. Some
of them were set to land at Juan
Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in
Alajuela Province.

airport's
website for flight
tracking
information, "
added Coliport
in its
statement.
According to
the firm,
those wanting
to reschedule
their flights
should contact
the airline
directly.
