DDS Lab, a full-service dental laboratory headquartered in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. announced the opening of operations in Costa Rica.

The firm's 100,000-square-foot facility is located in the Green Valley Trade Zone, in Grecia Canton, Alajuela Province, as part of its plan to expand its global fabrication operations to ensure that it can continue to meet the needs of its customers and the patients they serve.

"With fabrication locations now in Central America and Asia, along with our full-service facility in Tampa, Florida, we have the flexibility to utilize distributive manufacturing to execute a seamless and interchangeable operation across global time zones," said Chuck DiNardo the CEO of DDS Lab, "For DDS customers, this will ensure less idle turnaround time. As one continent's business day ends, dental technicians on another continent can pick design and other process steps up right where they last ended."

The company is in the process of hiring up to 1,000 employees in the next five years. They also will develop a program including in-school apprenticeships, internships and on-the-job training.   Those interested in applying for a job vacancy should visit the firm careers website.

Established in 2005, DDS Lab manufactures dental products for procedures such as crowns and bridges, dental implants, removables, orthodontics and fierce mouthguards, among others.

DDS Lab is one of many international companies investing in Costa RicaLast week, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, commonly referred to as Deloitte, a British multinational professional services network announced the establishment of a new branch in San José.
