The
awards ceremony, which includes 22
competitive categories (16 for film and six
for television), was held Sunday at the Gran
Tlachco Theater in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The film was nominated in four categories: Best Screenplay, Best Actress (Sol Carballo), Best Supporting Actress (Liliana Biamonte), and the category it ultimately won, Best Film in Cinema and Education in Values.
The
movie is a drama that explores the lives of
three women, Ana, Patricia, and Mayela, who
came of age in a repressive era when
sexuality was a taboo subject.
