Representatives from 10 different Costa Rican tourism companies recently traveled to Mexico to promote the country as a top destination.
The Costa Rican Convention Bureau helped organize the trip and assisted in showcasing all that the country has to offer. With its breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural experiences, Costa Rica is becoming an increasingly popular choice for those seeking a unique and memorable vacation.
The Institute of Tourism is working to enhance the quality of congress tourism in Costa Rica by holding meetings with key firms in the industry. Their recent advertising campaign in Mexico, with the slogan "Costa Rica is Pura Vida," is part of this effort to improve the country's reputation as a premier destination for business and leisure travelers alike.
Costa Rican government officials have reported that there is a significant level of interest among Mexican businessmen in promoting the country as a prime destination for hosting events and conventions.
The tourism industry in Costa
Rica has been thriving in recent years,
with many companies establishing offices
in the country to take advantage of the
growing demand for travel and tourism
services.
Among the companies that have been part of the meetings strategy supported by the institute were Amstar, Costa Rica Convention Center, Costa Rica Magic, Costa Rica Marriott, FA Planning, Los Sueños Marriott, MFC Producciones, Soluciones Audiovisuales, Swiss Travel, Tam Travel Corporation, Newfoundland and the Convention Bureau.
Rafael
Quesada, who represents the
institute, believes that the
business mission is a crucial
part of their strategy to
establish Costa Rica as the top
destination for events and
conventions in the region. Tourism
is one of the most important
economic sectors in Costa
Rica. As
of June, more than 1.3 million
tourists have visited the
country. The
number marks a new record
compared to the number of
visitors registered in the
country in the same period in
2019, the year before the
covid-19 pandemic. ---------------
