The dental care service is available to everyone, regardless of age, nationality, or status as a tourist or resident.
Specialists provide economical dental treatments such as cleaning, endodontics, cavities, dental alignment, and tooth extraction among many others.
The campaign is part of the learning process for advanced dental students, who are supervised by professors with substantial practical expertise.
Dentists attend patients of all ages at the university facilities in San Pedro District, San José Province. Those interested can make an appointment by calling 2511-8080.
On the day of the medical appointment, adults must bring their ID or Dimex in the case of residents, as well as a vaccination card with at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and show a valid ID and a Covid-19 vaccination card.
Patients will pay a minimal price to cover the cost of the supplies used in each medical procedure.
--------- How could more Costa Rican universities get involved with a campaign for low-cost medical services? We would like to know your thoughts on this story. Send your comments to news@amcostarica.com
