Two players just
hit life-changing money, straight up.
One ticket out of Kansas and another out
of Indiana teamed up, without even
knowing it, and split a massive $143
million jackpot from Powerball®. That’s the kind
of win that flips your whole story
overnight.
If you’re in the
States, you can grab your ticket
directly from the official Powerball® site. The winning
numbers for Wednesday, April 29, were 03, 19, 35,
51, 67, and the Powerball® came in at 15.
Power Play was 2X. If you had that
combo, you already know, you were either
celebrating hard or wishing you had
checked your ticket twice.
Now let’s talk
real money. That $143 million jackpot
comes with a cash option of $65.2
million. Winners can either take that
lump sum and run, or stretch it out over
30 years with annual payments that grow
about 5% every year. Either way, we’re
talking serious generational wealth. And it wasn’t just
those two winners eating. The lottery
reported 89 players across 20 states hit
major prizes too. Out of those, 27
people pulled in $2 million each, and
another 62 players walked away with $1
million apiece. That’s a whole lot of
lives getting upgraded at the same time. Now that the big
one’s been claimed, the Powerball® jackpot resets to
$20 million. Next drawing is Saturday,
May 2, so yeah, the board is fresh
again, and anybody can step in and take
it. Powerball® drawings are
broadcast live at 11 p.m. ET from the
Florida Lottery studio in Tallahassee,
and you can also catch the livestream on
the official Powerball® website.
But don’t get it
twisted, that’s not the only action this
weekend. Mega Millions® is
coming in hot for Friday, May 1, and the
jackpot has already climbed past $178
million. If you’re thinking cash value,
that’s about $79 million. Yeah, not
exactly pocket change. And if you’re in
the U.S., you can grab your tickets
straight from the official Mega Millions® site
and lock in your numbers. The last drawing
on Tuesday, April 28 didn’t produce a
jackpot winner, which is why the prize
just keeps stacking higher. The drawing goes
down at 11 p.m. ET at the WSB-TV studio
in Atlanta, Georgia, and the video gets
posted shortly after on the official Mega Millions® website. Jackpots are
moving, money is getting claimed, and
new chances are coming in fast. All it
takes is one ticket to change
everything.
