Workday, a company based in the U.S. State of California, announced it is expanding its operations in Costa Rica and is hiring employees at its facilities in the America Free Zone Park in Heredia Province. The move is part of the firm’s global development strategy. 



The company, which began operations in Costa Rica in 2024, is introducing new processes and business units to support its global customer base. Workday serves more than 500 organizations worldwide, including over 65% of Fortune 500 companies, spanning a wide range of industries. 



Workday is recruiting bilingual professionals for various roles, including consultants, financial specialists in collections and treasury, and software solution analysts. Those interested in applying can visit the company’s careers website for more details.

Workday is one of several U.S. companies investing in Costa Rica.  Recently, ServiceNow, an AI platform for business, has announced the expansion of its operations in the country.



Despite the influx of new international companies creating jobs in the country, Costa Rica’s unemployment rate remains at 7.3%, according to the National Employment Survey. Data recorded from September to November 2024 indicates that more than 173,000 people are unemployed, with men accounting for 56% of that figure or 98,000 individuals.
