Women entrepreneurs, in charge of a business or tourist service in rural zones of the country, may participate in a contest to receive a portion of approximately $486,000 in non-reimbursable funds.
The funds come from the "Motor Rural" program, which provides aid to companies or entrepreneurs in rural areas, carried out by the Rural Development Institute.
The goal of the program is to help entrepreneurial women living in rural zones of the country continue with their businesses as support during the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
Women selling products such as food, textiles, flowers, handicrafts, cultural activities, tourist activities, and more, may compete for the funds.
The institute will give more than $8,000 to 60 chosen women entrepreneurs. The deadline to apply will be May 7. People interested in receiving aid can find the list of requirements on the institute's website under the title of Motor Rural.
