Electricity
Services
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
My name is Alan Bo and I am a singer and
guitarist. I was one of the top artist´s of the
2012 Guitar Center nationwide contest in the U.S.
and am producing an album to be recorded early
next year. My group is called Soul Damage and we
promote concepts of equality, like how the United
Nations determined that there is no such thing as
race.
¨In 1950, the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
issued a statement asserting that all humans
belong to the same species and that “race” is not
a biological reality but a myth.” This was a
summary of the findings of an international panel
of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and
psychologists. A great deal of evidence had
accumulated by that time to support this
conclusion, and the scientists involved were those
who were conducting research and were most
knowledgeable about the topic of human variation.
Since that time similar statements have been
published by the American Anthropological
Association and the American Association of
Physical Anthropologists, and an enormous amount
of modern scientific data has been gathered to
justify this conclusion. It seems that the belief
in human races, carrying along with it the
prejudice and hatred of “racism,” is so embedded
in our culture and has been an integral part of
our worldview for so long that many of us assume
that it just must be true.¨
I met my wife Mireya while here on vacation and
officially moved here in late 2018. I retired from
the military and I try to speak out publicly about
how this world can get past having so many
frequent wars and battles. Mireya supports these
same concepts and stole my heart, so we moved into
a small home in the mountains of Bebedero, San
Antonio late last year.
While practicing on the guitar one day, during a
very difficult solo that finalizes a very long
song, I observed the neighbor located in the house
behind ours walking up to our breaker box and
quickly turning our electricity on and off while I
was playing the guitar. This has the potential to
overload the amplifier and is a major problem for
somebody that depends on this equipment in their
line of work.
We had just moved in and did not even know where
the breaker box was located before all of this
started. This neighbor is a wealthy hermit that
seldom leaves his house, so the most likely
conclusion is that somebody had helped him come up
with this idea. Our landlord and his family here
are very nice and friendly, but there are a few
other people here on this property that refuse to
respond when I walk by and say hello; among their
other discriminatory behaviors that cause me to
question their intentions.
Modern Psychology calls this condition ¨Borderline
Personality Disorder¨ and it is more common than
you would think...
The next day this same neighbor attempted to do
the same thing to our electricity during my
practice, this time while I was between songs. I
knocked on the window so that he would know that I
could see what he was doing and he quickly walked
away. From that point on, our electricity would
mysteriously begin turning off only when it was
dark outside.
After this happened more than 50 times in just a
few months our landlord helped us place a padlock
over this breaker box.
Less than a month after utilizing this padlock and
having the government send our neighbor a cease
and desist request, the electricity for our entire
block began turning off when I would try to play.
Having no prior problems with electricity in this
area, we called CNFL and a worker said that there
was a mysterious new broken generator that they
were fixing. Changing a generator is a very big
deal, so when I went outside and found no
employees, trucks, or equipment I became very
suspicious. When asked why there were no workers
or equipment located outside this CNFL employee
hung up.
I then began noticing that every time I would
complain about these mysterious electricity
blackouts to CNFL´s complaint email at
gestionalcliente@cnfl.go.cr, our electricity would
be turned off a few times for as long as a couple
of hours the following day. This happened every
time that I complained to this email, as though I
was being victimized for wanting to have some
basic human rights. The strangest part being that
every time I wrote and complained the electricity
outages would be just a little bit longer than the
last time.
During Semana Santa I decided to see if they would
have these strange ¨unscheduled work periods for a
perfectly fine generator¨ during the holiday. This
worker had responded once, asking for our NIS
number but then never had written back.
On Wednesday I wrote a complaint letter and the
electricity went out for about 20 minutes that
following Thursday.
On Thursday I wrote again and the electricity went
out 2 different times for about 30 minutes that
time.
Friday and Saturday evening I did not write
gestionalcliente@cnfl.go.cr, only writing the
government to document this, and there were no
more mysterious blackouts.
On Sunday I wrote the government, CNFL´s official
email, and gestionalcliente@cnfl.go.cr about this
experiment and what had happened. Monday morning
our electricity was out for about 2 and a half
hours.
Then CNFL´s official email responded, telling us
to come down and file a police report. (Which, it
turns out, their employees are protected by some
very expensive lawyers that will drag on a case
for years and years.)
The Procuraduría General de la República de Costa
Rica responded and told me that this problem was
too large for them to resolve and that we should
notify the police and CNFL.
Gestionalcliente@cnfl.go.cr, most likely since I
had told them that not responding would appear to
be an admission of guilt, then responded with
¨Cada comentario de nuestros clientes, sugerencia,
inconformidad es tomada en cuenta y se trata de
atender de la mejor manera, le indicamos que los
correos que usted nos envía no están ligados con
los cortes de corriente que ha presentado.Vamos a
darle seguimiento al tema y con todo gusto le
estaremos informando.¨
A generalized and highly suspect inspection with
no names included and no evidence presented, but a
clear and distinct conclusion drawn, sounds like a
cover-up to me. Whereas the Official CNFL email
concluded their letter with ¨Saludos
cordiales,Area attencion virtual¨ The
gestionalcliente@cnfl.go.cr only concluded with
¨Saludos.¨
I can just buy a portable electricity box to play
the guitar on, as inconvenient as it may be, but
it is said to think that CNFL workers can do this
to anybody that is not extremely rich with an
unbelievably open schedule.
Since this event a few months ago I stopped
playing guitar at the house and writing
gestionalcliente@cnfl and there have been no more
unexplained blackouts and no work performed on
this mysteriously selective broken generator.

Legalize all drugs
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
Then tax the legal shops that sell drugs. This
will be a great source of national revenue. Then
release the thousands of drug-related prisoners in
our jails and that will save the taxpayer a ton of
money.
It may upset the U.S. authorities and their War on
Drugs, but so what? The U.S. War on Drugs has
proved to be a failure just as the U.S. War on
Poverty has proved to be a failure just as the
U.S. War on Terror has proved to be a failure,
along with all the other “wars” including the War
on Global Warming, Global Cooling and now Global
Climate Change. What will they think of next?
Respect the privacy of the individual, respect the
freedom of the individual, respect the dignity of
the individual, for excessive socialist controls
and rules and regulations are what are destroying
initiative and business and overloading our jails
and destroying the morale of the country.
My comments on the fishing story
Should the Government divert funds to bank robbers
so they stop robbing banks?
That’s called Socialism, Marxism Communism -- and
it has always been a disaster in every country in
the whole world, including Costa Rica where the
government central bank thinks it can control the
value of money and the value of interest rates
instead of allowing the free market to control the
value of money and the value of interest rates.

War against drugs
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
The war against drugs is because the American
government does not want to people waking up. The
medical benefit of the plants have been shown to
scientifically treat all types of illnesses.
The reason psychotropic's have been outlawed is
because people see the truth when they use them.
They awaken your third eye. Just like the one on
top with a one dollar bill.
This has been known for thousands of years in many
different cultures. Plus there were civilizations
before us that were far more Advanced. It is the
governments that signed on to the war on drugs
that wish to prevent us from seeing the truth. A
group of us who work legally in the Bahamas for
several years using psychotropic's to create life
extension and consciousness expansion.
You cannot overdose on the plant-based materials.
Some you do need supervision to achieve the
results are after. So to sum it up, the war on
drugs is caused by people who wish to control you.
Dared to lift the curtain and see what is behind
it!
My opinion on Mandatory vaccinations
Dear readers, if any of these vaccines are made or
come from the United States or the people that
they use for their vaccines, they are all poison!
I would like to read the contents of any
vaccinations given in Costa Rica before using it.
The ones from the states have mercury, aluminum
and several other ingredients that should not
enter the body. Hopefully the ones used in Costa
Rica are clean.
Sincerely,

More taxes
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
While the government continues to "steal" money
from the Private Sector through increased taxation
and costly Regulation, to be able to continue to
support the outrageous wages, annual bonuses, and
pension benefits of the Public Sector, the Private
Sector will not be able to create the additional
jobs required to stimulate the Economy.

Cost of living in CR
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
As a gringo what interested me in making CR my
retirement home was the lower cost of living. But
in the 10 plus years that I have lived in CR costs
have gone up to the point that I could stay in the
US and pay about the same amount of fees/taxes.
From several layers of corporation fees/taxes (and
having to have a lawyer additional costs to
navigate these requirements) to an increase in
other fee's food, imports, cars, luxury taxes on
homes etc. that keeps getting added every year.
Since the corporation fee was reintroduced it has
now morphed to another additional fee for the
digital signature that requires an attorney (added
fee), I am just wondering what the CR government
will add (fee) next.
I really feel sorry for the local people. The
continued burden will eventually take the Pura
Vida life style away from the Costa Rican people
and visitors. Hence the continued protests, they
seem to be all about the increase of fees/taxes on
the common people.
Talking to other retirees in the US they now are
looking other places because after their visits
they are seeing the cost to getting to high to
retire in CR.
I personally have 5 different friends that have
visited and were planning to buy but are now
rethinking their decision.
Learn from what works, in other parts of the
world, lower taxes/fees energizes growth, both
private and public sectors. Construction is way
down because people (gringos) are not wanting to
invest because of the additional fees being made
laws.

Reactivate the economy
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
I have a suggestion which I’m sure will be a
non-starter given the attitude of the CR
government for the past few years. How about
reversing the recent trend of squeezing more and
more revenue from the tourist & expat trade,
rolling back taxes on businesses, and passing more
of the revenue stream already existing to the
people rather than increasing politicians’
retirement benefits after leaving office?
At some point the goose which has been laying the
golden eggs will be ‘eaten’ by the political class
and their cohorts at the top of the ‘food chain’.
Less tourism, more taxes, a larger share of the
wealth going into fewer pockets, and more creeping
socialism and inflated currency always results in
the same equation eventually –
Venezuela/Nicaragua/Honduras/Guatemala.
Other than tourism, this is already happening and
tourism can’t be far behind as visitors edge
closer to being priced out of the market. What
then, when there are no more golden eggs because
the goose has been devoured? Then the government
will be forced to rely totally on mortgaging the
future of CR to foreign banks and governments by
loans which can never be repaid, and the political
class becomes even further removed from the common
people. Living within means does not merely refer
to families and individuals……governments are
always the worst violators.
My opinion on Glyphosate
Bayer and Monsanto have been historically
joined at the hip in marketing dangerous chemicals
around the globe. Monsanto recently “merged” with
Bayer (actually absorbed is the operative term) in
order to escape the torrents of law suits filed in
the USA.
Farmers in India are committing suicide in record
numbers because they are no longer able to feed
their families and/or repay debt to the companies
which have depleted the soils with chemicals which
promised increased crop yields……which has not been
the case. It would be wise for CR to be ahead of
the curve in preventing use of glyphosate, and the
seeds marketed by the same companies, before any
more cropland is spoiled by the chemical.
My opinion on loans from international banking
institutions
Accepted common-sense rules for personal finance
could and should be adopted by governments as
well.
1) Infrastructure improvements should be financed
by “savings”, rather than “borrowing”,
specifically borrowing from external banking
entities.
2) Borrowing obligates future citizens to the
whims of current political indiscretions.
3) Excessive government expenditures financed by
borrowing have bankrupted nations for centuries,
and third-world nations lead the way in collapses
due to over-borrowing while disregarding future
incapacity to repay loans……this is nothing more
than mortgaging the future to satisfy current
political appetites.
My opinion on Vaccinations
It is interesting that in the USA and other
developed countries now those who merely
‘question’ the effectiveness of vaccines are being
tormented and silenced.
Why is that?
According to increasing accounts, true science is
revealing that some ingredients in vaccines are
actually poisonous and/or deliver unwarranted
results. When the ‘state’ requires parents to have
children vaccinated regardless of their feelings,
it leads to totalitarianism.

Santa Ana kidnapping case
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
The court calendars are so crowded, it appears
that they will do almost anything to clear the
calendar.
I look at it this way. The victims were Costa
Ricans, otherwise not listed. The suspects went to
the extremes of getting clothing and representing
official law Enforcement of the court system
(OIJ). They committed assaults on the child’s
father, kidnapped his two year old child, and
escaped the scene.
The father had to track down the culprits,
retrieve the victim, and the local police, had to
call for help to get the suspects out of the
garage from hiding, because neighbors of the
victim were attempting to attack them, according
to your article. Unless your article was lacking
pertinent details, it appears the police only
played a role of transporting the two foreigners
to jail.
The father probably could have done that if his
vehicle was not damaged from his pursuit and
contact with the suspects.
The local neighbors of the victims, kept the
suspects from escaping apparently.
What did the Municipal Police do? What did the OIJ
do? I guess 10 years in prison is better than a
prolonged court case, but really, we need to know
more about the relationship of the suspects to the
victims in order to address your request for
comment. Unless we are missing something from your
story tellers here, there is a P. Harvey to this
incident "the rest of the story" to be continued.

Medical Tyranny
Dear A.M. Costa Rica readers:
The children of Costa Rica will suffer as long as
they and their parents and doctors and the
minister of health refuse to open their minds to
the truth.
Vaccines are a billion dollar business to drug
companies who promote lies.
Once again i urge your to read the ingredients in
vaccines. Also learn about how they scare people,
take away their right of free choice make false
claims.
I hope you wake up and save your children.
