This week, five Costa Rican films will be part of
the Guadalajara International Film Festival in
Mexico. The festival is a forum for training,
instruction and creative exchange between
professionals, critics of international
cinematography and students from the region.
The films of Costa Rica that are in the festival
and contest are:
-History of a Kiss, producer Black Sheep. The

- Altamar, producer La Pecera. The short can be

- The Psychopath, by Jungle Films.
- If We Do Not Burn How to Light up the Night,
from producer Noche Negra. The short can be seen

- The Passon, by Nella Barrantes, producer Complot

In addition to the contest, five Costa Ricans
participate in the festival as members of the jury
or giving training to film students.
As members of the jury in the contest of shorts
made by students are Camila Azofra and Madeleine
Toyloy.
As members of the training team for film students
are Armando Quesada, Irvin Castro, and Kim Torres.
José Castro, member of the Costa Rica Film's
Commission, said "we hope that participation in
this festival will bring us new business and
opportunities to continue positioning the country
as a high-quality filming destination."

In
addition to the contest, five Costa Ricans
participate in the festival as members of the
jury or giving training to film students.
The Costa Rica Film's Commission is composed of
representatives of the Ministry of Foreign
Trade, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute, among
other institutions.
