The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Telecommunications will invest $1.5 million of non-reimbursable funds for small and medium companies that are developing innovative projects. The fund is provided by the program Innovation and Human Capital for Competitiveness, financed by Inter-American Development Bank.

"This is about an open call of two months, from June to August, for small or medium-sized technology-based companies," said Luis Adrián Salazar Solís, minister of Technology.

According to the ministry, this is a plan to support entrepreneurs on technology with non-reimbursable financial aid.

"We make a call for applications for $100,000 to support projects, for a total of $1.5 million. This is to expand initiatives focused on the 4th Industrial Revolution and to support companies with the help of partners such as Inter-American Development Bank," said Salazar.

Applicants must propose an innovation project on goods and services or in production processes in areas such as education, environment, water, energy, food, agriculture, health, biotechnology, nanotechnology, aerospace engineering, among others.
