Police arrest two suspected of dealing drug dealers and wearing
police uniforms

Officers of the Drug Control Police detained Wednesday, two men
surnamed Altamirano-Araya and Mata-Moya as suspected drug dealers
in La Guácima in the province of Alajuela.
According to the police report Altamirano-Araya, 35, has a
criminal record for five attempted robbery, vehicle robbery, drug
possession, drug dealer, among other crimes.
The other suspect Mata-Moya, 32, also has a criminal record for
illegal drug use and using a weapon.
In addition to the arrests, the officers seized two jackets,
pants, a white police shirt, with the logos of Fuerza Pública, a
t-shirt with the legend Police, a T-shirt with logos of the
Judicial Investigation Organization, handcuffs, a police belt with
a handcuffs holder, four firearms and two bulletproof vests, among
others police devices.
Also seized were a large number of drugs such as 3,283 doses of
cocaine, 2,337 doses of methamphetamines, 1,813 doses of
marijuana, 1,613 doses of crack, 21 packages with marijuana tips,
about $ 1,628 in cash, and a car.
The operation for the arrest of these suspects began in February
when the police received three complaints on the free confidential
line: 1-1-7-6, said the police on its report.
Both suspects were sent to the cells of the Public Ministry where
they must submit to the interviews by the judicial agents and then
wait for a judge to rule on pre-trial measures.
