Corporation released the Sports
Illustrated Swimsuit (SI Swimsuit) that
was partially shot at Casa Chameleon at
Las Catalinas in Guanacaste*, as well
as in Australia, Kenya, Bahamas Mexico,
and St. Lucia.
In Guanacaste, Barbara Palvin was shooting with photographer James Macari. Palvin returns for a fourth year as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. The top model’s journey with SI Swimsuit began in 2016 in Turks & Caicos, the same year she was crowned SI Swimsuit Rookie of the Year. The Hungarian model recently worked in this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, a moment she called "a dream come true." Barbara is also a L'Oréal Paris ambassador and has been a cover girl for countless magazines like Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar, just to name a few. This year’s magazine cover also features other leading women who began careers as models including Tyra Banks, supermodel, entrepreneur and media mogul; Alex Morgan, US National Women's Soccer team star and Olympic gold medalist; and Camille Kostek, 2018 SI Swimsuit Model Search winner. "The theme for the 56th installment of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is 'Shattering Perceptions, " said Mederith Corp on its statement. “The issue continues to redefine the cultural conversation around beauty by celebrating a diverse group of women who include: three returning cover models, seven world-renowned athletes, four mothers, six rookies, six model search contestants and two female cover photographers who collectively round out this impressive group of motivational and aspirational women.” The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is published annually by the American magazine Sports Illustrated. The cover photograph features women fashion models wearing swimwear in exotic locales. The swimsuit issue of the magazine carries advertising that, in 2005 amounted to US $35 million in value. First published in 1964, it is credited with making the bikini, invented in 1946, a legitimate piece of apparel.
