Cultural Ministry invites visitors to enjoy two cultural festivals this weekend |

As A.M. Costa Rica reported on Monday, this weekend there are two important cultural festivals. The National Festival of Arts that started from Thursday in the city of Orotina* in the province of Alajuela and will host more than 1,300 artists, with 80 shows and 280 free activities aimed at all audiences. The activities of the festival will take place every day until April 7, in the city of Orotina and the city of Esparza* in the province of Puntarenas. The organizers expect hundreds of people who will enjoy spectacular music, theater, concerts, folkloric dances, special activities for children and typical foods. The Ministry of Culture invites the public to visit the festival and to enjoy national and international artists producing a high quality event. The other main cultural weekend event is the Traditional Food Fair known as "Gustico" More than 200 chefs of typical Costa Rican food from 64 towns of the country will present their works at the 8th edition of the Costa Rican "Gustico" Fair, Friday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., at the National Stadium* in San José. The Costa Rican term, "Gustico," means eating something delicious, a clue to what can be found at the fair. The fair is open to the public and there will be 200 stands where artisans will offer their products. In addition to the typical dishes, visitors can enjoy folk music, buy crafts and learn more about tours to rural areas of the country. |

According to the organizers, this edition involves innovation in meals with new ingredients such as buffalo meat, edible wrappers made of honey, gourmet cheeses, goat milk products, gluten-free products, organic coffee, vegan ice cream, and handmade chocolates, among others.
