National Festival of Arts starts tomorrow |

The Artistic and Cultural Production Center of the Ministry of Culture is opening the XII National Arts Festival 2019 (FNA2019) Thursday in the city of Orotina* in the province of Alajuela. The inaugural act begin at 5 p.m. with a parade by the Communal Band of Orotina and the Folk Company "Passion for our Land." At 7 p.m. the dance show "La historia de la salsa" (the salsa dance history) will be presented by the group Son de Tikizia. The XII National Arts Festival 2019 (FNA2019) will host more than 1,300 artists, with 80 shows and 280 free activities aimed at all audiences. The activities of festival will take place from March 28 to April 7, in the city of Orotina* in the province of Alajuela and the city of Esparza* in the province of Puntarenas. In Costa Rica, 16 International Festivals have been held since 1989. The organizers expect hundreds of people who will enjoy spectacular music, theater, concerts, folkloric dances, and special activities for children. This program, carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Youth and the Artistic and Cultural Production Center (CPAC), aims to "bring together the best national and international artists to strengthen and stimulate the artistic development of the national community, producing an event of high quality and diversity, promoting exchange, fraternity and cooperation between artists, countries, civic organizations, public institutions and private companies," the Ministry's statement. |

activities of Festival will take place from
March 28 to April 7, in the city of Orotina,
Alajuela and the city of Esparza, Puntarenas.
In addition to Costa Rican artists, artists from countries such as Canada, United States, Mexico, Panama, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, England, Russia, China, Japan, and Malaysia will be present.
