The Promoter of
Commerce of Costa Rica is
promoting products manufactured
in Costa Rica in Dubai. The
promoting office is
participating in the Middle East
industry fair known as Gulfood
Dubai, which is being held in
the United Arab Emirates from
February 17 to 21.
The Gulfood Industries Fair
receives more than 98,000
visitors each year and has more
than 5,000 exhibitors from 193
countries in 120 halls. The
focus of the fair is buyers from
the Middle East and North
Africa.
The promoter’s office reports
that this year, for the fourth
time, the products of six
companies that export dehydrated
fruit, frozen fruit, preserved
palm hearts, concentrated
juices, chocolate bars, cocoa
and banana puree, among others,
are being promoted at the fair.
The companies that promote
their products in the Costa
Rican stand are: Paradise
Ingredients, All Natural, Gold
Coast International, DEMSA, VISA
Agricultural Products and Nahua
Cacao.
In agreement with Pedro
Beirute, General Manager of
PROCOMER, "United Arab Emirates
is a sophisticated market which
we aim for because we know that
our products are up to their
trends and palates. We hope that
this fair allows us to make
known more the benefits of our
exportable offers and our way of
doing business."
According to Mr. Beirute, the
annual participation in Gulfood
is strategic because it allows
them to generate and specify
business opportunities with
current and potential customers
in the UAE and the Middle East.
The promoters said that
representatives of the companies
participating in the stand, in
addition to offering products at
the fair, will visit various
Emirati firms with the aim of
generating more business.
Among the companies that will
be visited are: Lulu Hypermarket
Barsha, Carrefour Mall of
Emirates, Union Coop Barsha,
Spinneys Meadows, Waitrose Dubai
Marina Mall, JAFZA Free Zone and
Dubai Chamber.
