New guidelines for emergency
business by covid-19

The Government announced the new guidelines for businesses to follow during the covid-19 emergency period.

The guideline entitled "Guide for the Prevention, Mitigation and Business Continuity of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Work Centers" has a list of changes and measures that must be complied with in all companies to avoid the increase of the virus contagions, in addition to knowing how to act on the case of a possible contagion of employees.

The guidelines include the methods and steps to maintain cleanliness in businesses regardless of size, the sanitary measures by the people on their job, sanitary measures for people or clients who enter commerce, organization of workspaces, organization of working hours, among others.

The guide is offered in an easy and understandable format for all businesses, the government said in its statement.

"This is the best way to reduce the impact of covid-19 in the workplace, whether on the working population, customers or the general public, is with measures that protect the health," said the government in its statement.

Businesses that want to continue with their commercial activities, must comply with all the recommendations that are detailed in the guidelines.

According to data from the Ministry of Economy, there are 133,000 companies registered in the country, of these the 97% are small and medium-sized companies.
