The coffee produced in Tarrazu Canton, in the countryside of San JosÚ Province by the Coopetarraz˙ farmers cooperative will be offered for free to customers who visit six of the El Corte InglÚs store brands in Spain, the Costa Rica's Export Promotion Agency, Procomer, said.

According to the agency, in the next two months, coffee cups will be offered to the clients in the stores located in the cities of Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Valencia.

This coffee testing activity is coordinated by the Esencial Costa Rica country brand and the Procomer office in Spain.

Coopetarraz˙'s coffee is produced with Catuai Arabica variety seeds, with a caramel fragrance and cocoa flavor. This year the area where this coffee was produced obtained 85 quality points by professional coffee tasters from the Costa Rican Coffee Institute.

Coppetarraz˙ is a coffee farmer cooperative that develops the whole coffee production process, from harvesting to the packaged product.

According to the agency, coffee exports to Spain last year totaled $7,881,000 in golden coffee and $7,910,000 in roasted coffee.

Recently, Costa Rican exporting companies were offering their products at the Buyers Trade Mission fair to find new markets.

This year all products exports increased to $2 billion, according to the Ministry of Exports.
